See moreSummary: Leadzai enables businesses to create targeted marketing campaigns by adding or excluding specific locations, either automatically or manually. Users can select precise locations or set a radius around them to refine audience targeting. Proper location management enhances ad effectiveness, cost efficiency, and personalized experiences.
Location-based marketing campaigns have become an essential strategy for businesses to reach their target audiences effectively. In a hurry? We’ve got you covered, here is a 2 minutes video to help you understand how to manage your campaign locations 😀
How to add locations
1. Go to the tab “Locations”, and select the option that better suits your needs: Automatic creation or manual creation.
-
Automatic creation - Location is automatically generated based on previous inputs, it allows the selection of locations to keep, or can be removed after.
- Manual creation - This option gives greater control over the campaign and enables to customize it according to specific requirements.
- After choosing the manual creation, select between two location options: Location or Location with radius.
-
Location with radius allows the selection of a location and set a radius around it, ranging from 1 to 60 kilometers. This is useful for businesses that want to target a particular geographic area around a specific location.
- Location allows the selection of a specific geographic area for the campaign to target. Type in the desired location on the empty field. The platform will then search for that location and provide options based on the input.
3. Type in the desired location on the empty field. The platform will then search for that location and provide options based on the input.
- Save your location.
How to exclude locations
- Once manual creation is chosen, select the option to exclude a location. This ensures that the campaign's ads will not be shown in the specified location(s).
By incorporating the ability to add both target and excluded locations, it allows businesses to refine their audience targeting.
With these location-based features, businesses can ensure that their ads are shown to their desired audience while also excluding irrelevant or uninterested regions.
In summary, managing locations during the ad creation step in Leadzai is not just a formality, it's a strategic decision that can have a significant impact on the success of your advertising campaigns. By targeting the right locations, you can reach your desired audience more effectively, improve cost efficiency, deliver personalized experiences, and optimize performance for better results.

How to Manage Keywords
See moreSummary: There are three match types: exact match (precise targeting), phrase match (balance of specificity and reach), and broad match (maximizes reach but less precise). Advertisers can add, exclude, or delete keywords to optimize campaigns and reach the right audience effectively.
Keywords play a very important role in digital marketing campaigns, acting as the bridge between what users are searching for and what advertisers offer. Essentially, keywords are specific words or phrases that advertisers target to ensure their ads are displayed to relevant audiences when they search for those terms.
In digital marketing campaigns, keywords are classified into three main types of matches: exact match, phrase match, and broad match. Each type serves a distinct purpose in targeting your ads to the right audience.
Why is important to choose the right match type:
- Exact Match: Provides precise targeting, but may limit reach.
- Phrase Match: Offers a balance between specificity and reach.
-
Broad Match: Maximizes reach, but may result in less relevant clicks.
Let's break it down, one by one:
Exact Match Keywords: Specific terms or phrases that only trigger your ads when users search for the exact word or phrase you've specified, without any additional words before, after, or in between. Example: If your exact match keyword is "red shoes," your ad will only appear when someone searches for "red shoes" and not for variations like "buy red shoes" or "red shoes for women."
Broad Match Keywords: Phrase match keywords trigger your ads when users search for the exact phrase you've specified, but it allows additional words before or after the phrase. Example: If your phrase match keyword is "red shoes," your ad may appear for searches like "buy red shoes online" or "red shoes for sale," as long as "red shoes" is included in the search query.
Broad Match Keywords: Broad match keywords are the least restrictive type and trigger your ads for a wide range of variations, including synonyms, misspellings, related searches, and variations of the keyword phrase. Example: If your broad match keyword is "red shoes," your ad might appear for searches like "buy crimson footwear," "red sneakers," or "shoes in red colour."
By understanding the differences between these match types, advertisers can effectively tailor their keyword targeting strategies to reach the most relevant audience while optimizing their campaign performance.
In a hurry? We’ve got you covered, here is a 2 minutes video to help you understand how to manage your campaign keywords 😀
How to add keywords to your campaign
Start by accessing the campaign you wish to modify and navigate to the "ads and keywords" view.
Open the ad group where you want to add keywords. Then, click on the option to edit keywords.
To include the specified keywords, type the word followed by a comma and then click "add to list."
How to exclude keywords to your campaign
While adding keywords helps target relevant audiences, excluding certain keywords ensures your ads don't appear for irrelevant searches. Exclude keywords are terms or phrases for which you do not want your ads to be displayed.
Similar to the process of adding keywords, start by accessing the campaign you wish to modify and navigate to the "ads and keywords" view.
Open the ad group where you want to add keywords. Then, click on the option to edit keywords.
- To exclude the specified keywords, type the word followed by a comma and then click "add to list."
How to delete keywords from your campaign
To delete a keyword or excluded keyword, simply press on the keyword and then select “remove keywords”.
Incorporating both targeted keywords and carefully chosen exclude keywords is essential for optimizing the performance and relevance of your digital marketing campaigns, helping you reach the right audience and achieve your advertising objectives.

How to Manage Your Campaign Budget and End Date
See moreSetting up the monthly budget of your campaign, it’s essential for the success of it. Whether it’s boosting brand awareness, driving website traffic or increasing sales, defining your goals is the compass that guides your marketing efforts.
In a hurry? We’ve got you covered, here is a 2 minutes video to help you understand how to manage the budget of your campaign 😀
How does the budget work?
At Leadzai’s platform, you can choose the Monthly Budget for your campaign. The campaigns have budget period cycles, once they began to run, and the amount of results is based on the budget that was selected and the cost per goal.
When creating the campaign, you will have a menu where you can check the Cost Per Goal - Which is based on the content of the campaign, category of the business, targeting criteria and goal of the campaign (Clicks or Leads) - and Choose the Monthly Budget you want to spend.
For that, you will need to follow these steps:
- Go to the tab “Budget”:
- Click on “Edit” and this menu will appear, so you can choose the monthly budget you want to spend, based on the cost per goal. Once you select the budget you want to spend, click on the option “Save”.
For example: If the cost per goal is €0.10, and you want to be able to achieve 1000 goals per month, you will need to select €100 for the value of the monthly budget.
You will only pay for results, so, if you want a clicks campaign, you will pay for each click and if you want a leads campaign, you will pay for each lead you’ll receive.
NOTE: If the monthly value isn’t spent, by any reason, in the current budget period, the remaining value will be reflected in the next budget period, and referred as rollover on the budget period table.
You can find all the information on the dashboard of your campaign:
How to select an end date for the campaign?
- You can find in the menu “Summary” the option to choose the campaign duration:
- You will need to go to the option “Campaign Duration” to select the end date of the campaign:
